Websites for packers and movers

The moving trade's problem is not high prices, it is that the price on the phone is not the price on the invoice. A site wins here by giving a straight estimate up front and being honest about what turns it into a firm figure.

What usually goes wrong online in this trade

01

A number on the phone, a bigger one on the day

Movers quote sight unseen to win the booking, then revise upward once the goods are on the truck and the customer has no choice. It is the single reason the trade is distrusted.

02

“Fully insured” that insures almost nothing

Many movers include only a token declared value that pays a fraction of what a damaged item is worth. Customers hear ‘insured’ and assume real protection.

03

The extras arrive on moving day

Packing material, a floor without a lift, a long carry from where the truck can park — all unmentioned until they appear as surcharges when it is too late to say no.

04

Every lead starts with “send me a quote”

Without a starting figure the enquiry stalls in a back-and-forth, and the customer messages five movers and goes cold on all of them.

How we build it

What the theme does about it

Not a feature list — each of these exists because of a specific problem above.

  • A genuinely live estimator — distance band, home size and add-ons, recomputed in the browser with no page reload

  • The estimate shown as a range, never a single figure, because access and volume genuinely vary

  • ‘Estimate, not quotation’ stated on the tool itself, with exactly what it excludes and the survey named as the step that makes it firm

  • Real transit insurance on declared value separated from the token basic cover, with what each pays stated plainly

  • Packing, storage and dismantling as visible, tickable add-ons rather than moving-day surcharges

  • A locked quote that converts the whole selection into a prefilled WhatsApp lead with route, size, add-ons and range written out

  • Office relocation deliberately excluded from self-estimation, because IT and timing vary too much to band honestly

Questions owners ask us

Do you have more than one movers design?

Four, each for a different kind of mover. SumaKO leads on an honest estimate, Kaaval on chain-of-custody inventory control, ZipMove on small same-day moves priced per item, and Padhukaap on premium fine-art and fragile packing with no instant price by design. They share no palette, type or layout — pick the one that matches how you actually compete.

Does the calculator need a server or a backend?

No. It runs entirely in the browser and the rates live in the theme as editable content. That is the whole point of a static build — it deploys to ordinary hosting, costs nothing to run, and there is no system to break.

Can customers log in and can I manage leads in a dashboard?

Not on this static site. An admin login and a persisted leads inbox need a backend and a database, which is a separate product — our SaaS layer. Here, you edit rates and content in the theme, and leads arrive over WhatsApp and email. It is honest about being config-driven rather than faking a dashboard.

Won't a public estimator let competitors see my pricing?

They can already phone you as a customer and find out. What the estimator does is convert your traffic instead of losing it to a form, and it sets the expectation that your quote will be honest — which is where you win against the movers who lowball and revise.

How accurate can an online estimate really be?

Accurate enough to be useful as a range, and honest about the rest. The things that move a price most — floor, access, fragile items — are exactly what a web page cannot see, so the tool bands them and the free survey confirms the firm figure.
