Websites for sweet shops and bakeries

Customers ask three questions before they order sweets: is it ghee or oil, how long will it keep, and will it arrive before the function. A photograph answers none of them.

What usually goes wrong online in this trade

01

A box price without a weight cannot be compared

This trade sells by the kilo. Listing only a box price makes it impossible for a customer to judge value against another shop.

02

Ghee versus oil is the biggest price driver and is rarely stated

It is the first thing a serious customer asks, and leaving it vague makes a ghee sweet look overpriced beside an oil one.

03

Perishable items get couriered and spoil

Milk sweets do not survive transit. Accepting those orders costs a refund and a bad review; refusing them builds trust.

How we build it

What the theme does about it

Not a feature list — each of these exists because of a specific problem above.

  • Pricing per 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg as selectable variants

  • The fat used stated on every item — cow ghee or refined oil

  • Shelf life in days, per item, so a customer can plan around a function date

  • Each item flagged for whether it survives a courier

  • Allergen and FSSAI fields built in, because both are required for food businesses in India

The theme for this

Complete working storefronts. Open one and use it — the filters, the cart and the product pages are all real.

Made this morning. Ghee, not oil.

Questions owners ask us

Can customers order for a specific date?

Yes. The order captures a required-by date and passes it through, so you can make perishable items close to dispatch rather than in advance.

Do I need an FSSAI licence number on the site?

Yes, it is required for food businesses in India. The theme has a place for it and flags it as outstanding until you supply it.

We change the counter daily. Can we mark things sold out?

Each item carries a stock state. A daily toggle is a small addition and worth having for a kitchen that sells out.
