Websites for interior designers and modular manufacturers

Two quotes for the same kitchen can differ by 40% and both be honest, because one is priced per running foot and the other per square foot. Until a quote states its basis, its core material and its exclusions, it is not comparable with anything.

What usually goes wrong online in this trade

01

Per running foot or per square foot?

The two bases give different totals for identical work, and neither quote usually says which surfaces were counted. This single ambiguity explains most of the gap between competing interior quotes.

02

“Marine ply” is a sales word

The standards are IS:710 for boiling-waterproof plywood and IS:303 for boiling-water-resistant. MDF and particle board are neither. A quote that names no standard has specified nothing.

03

The exclusions arrive at handover

Civil work, electrical points, plumbing shifts, countertops and appliances usually sit outside an interiors scope. Discovering that after the advance is how the trade earns its reputation.

04

Timelines are quoted from the advance, not the freeze

Work cannot start before design freeze and final site measurement. Dating the schedule from the payment sets up a delay that was structural from day one.

How we build it

What the theme does about it

Not a feature list — each of these exists because of a specific problem above.

  • Basis of measurement on every scope, plus which surfaces are counted

  • Core material named by Indian Standard — IS:710 for wet zones, IS:303 for dry

  • A deliberate case for the cheaper IS:303 in bedrooms, arguing against the studio's own upsell

  • Hardware make and series, and edge banding thickness, as spec rows — the exact lines a cheaper quote drops

  • A written exclusion list per scope: civil, electrical, plumbing, countertop, appliances, ceiling, painting

  • One indicative total labelled 'NOT a quotation', with what has to happen before it becomes firm

  • Timelines dated from design freeze, naming the real dependency

The theme for this

Complete working storefronts. Open one and use it — the filters, the cart and the product pages are all real.

Interiors & modularComplete

An interiors studio site that states the basis of measurement, names the core material by IS standard, and publishes what a quotation excludes — so two quotes can finally be compared.

Questions owners ask us

Will publishing rates let competitors undercut me?

They can undercut you today by quoting a thinner scope. Publishing the basis and the core is what makes that visible. The studios this hurts are the ones relying on the customer not asking.

Can you add a 3D room planner?

We would not recommend starting there. Interiors close on a site visit and a measured drawing, and a browser configurator produces leads that have to be re-quoted anyway. The scope sheet does more for conversion.

My rates change with material cost. How do I handle that?

Show them as indicative rates for comparison, which is how the demo labels them, and keep the firm figure on the quotation. That is both honest and easier to maintain.

Do I need project photography?

It is the single biggest visual upgrade available to this theme. The design is complete without it, but completed-site photography of your own work is what converts a considered enquiry.
