Mittai
A sweet shop storefront built around the three things customers actually ask: ghee or oil, how long it keeps, and will it arrive before the function.

Design decisions
Each of these came out of researching how this trade actually sells, not from a style preference.
- 01
Priced by weight with 250 g / 500 g / 1 kg variants, matching how the trade and its customers actually think.
- 02
Every item states the fat it was cooked in — cow ghee or refined oil — because it is the first question asked and the biggest driver of price.
- 03
Shelf life is given in days, per item, so a customer can plan around a function date.
- 04
Items are flagged for whether they survive a courier. Refusing an order that would spoil is a stronger trust signal than taking it.
- 05
Warm palette, 10px radius and no shadows: appetite appeal without the stock-photo gloss that makes food sites look interchangeable.

How it’s built
The specifics matter because they determine what the site costs to run, how fast it is, and whether you can move it later.
- Stack
- Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4
- Rendering
- Fully static export — every route is prerendered HTML, independently crawlable
- JavaScript
- No animation or UI library. Design tokens applied as scoped CSS custom properties
- Accessibility
- Semantic landmarks, labelled controls, visible focus, prefers-reduced-motion honoured
- Hosting
- Deploys to any static host including cPanel shared hosting — no Node runtime required
Suited to
- Sweet shops and bakeries with a daily production kitchen
- Sellers taking festival and function orders in bulk
- Businesses posting dry items across India
- Shops where ghee versus oil is a genuine quality differentiator
What it doesn’t include
Stated up front rather than discovered later.
- FSSAI licence number must be added before going live — a legal requirement for Indian food businesses.
- Allergen data in the sample content is illustrative and must come from the kitchen.
- No delivery-slot or same-day logistics integration; the theme collects a required-by date and hands off to WhatsApp.
- Built on RootPro's theme engine: 5 routes, with this theme's own palette, typefaces, card anatomy and layout variants.
