Design decisions
Each of these came out of researching how this trade actually sells, not from a style preference.
- 01
Leads with basis of measurement — per running foot versus per square foot — which is the single largest cause of non-comparable interior quotes and is almost never disclosed.
- 02
Names core material by Indian Standard (IS:710 BWP, IS:303 BWR) instead of the trade nickname 'marine ply', which has no defined meaning on its own.
- 03
Deliberately specifies the cheaper IS:303 for a bedroom wardrobe and explains why over-specifying is waste. Arguing against your own upsell is a strong trust signal.

Every scope carries a written exclusion list — civil, electrical, countertop, appliances — so the handover conversation happens before the advance, not after.
- 05
One item is labelled 'Indicative only — NOT a quotation' and states what has to happen before it becomes firm, which protects both sides in a trade built on revised figures.
- 06
Edge banding thickness and hardware series appear as spec rows, because those are exactly the lines a cheaper competing quote quietly drops.
- 07
Timeline is defined from design freeze rather than from advance payment, naming the real dependency instead of a flattering one.
- 08
Generous 1.2 density with an editorial serif, because interiors is sold on considered browsing — the opposite of the grocery theme's scan-and-add rhythm.

What it doesn’t include
Stated up front rather than discovered later.
- Rates, timelines and the indicative full-home total are sample data and must be replaced with your own costed figures.
- No 3D configurator or room planner. Interiors are sold on a site visit and a measured drawing; a browser configurator produces leads that then need re-quoting anyway.
- IS standard references describe the material grades to specify. Your supplier's test certificates should back any published claim.
- The exclusion lists here are typical for South Indian modular work and should be reviewed against your own contract terms before launch.
- Project photography of completed sites is the biggest visual upgrade available to this theme and is not included.
