Payanam
A tour operator site that states the pricing basis, the single supplement and the cancellation slabs on every package, so a per-person figure means something.

Design decisions
Each of these came out of researching how this trade actually sells, not from a style preference.
- 01
Leads with pricing basis rather than price. A per-person rate on twin sharing is the most misread number in Indian travel, and publishing the single supplement in rupees defuses the commonest complaint at booking.
- 02
Distinguishes a named hotel from a category hotel and explains that 'category' means the operator retains the right to substitute. One package uses each, so the difference is demonstrated rather than described.
- 03
Cancellation slabs appear as a spec row on every package, before any advance is discussed, with the reason the slabs tighten — unrecoverable deposits — stated plainly.
- 04
Publishes minimum group size for fixed departures and commits to refunding rather than running a thin departure, which names the operator's own failure mode.
- 05
Excludes airfare and says why: fares move daily, so bundling either dates the price or pads it. Arguing for a smaller headline number is a credibility move.
- 06
Itemises visa fee, insurance and TCS as separate lines outside the package rate, and notes TCS is adjustable against income tax — detail an overseas traveller actually needs.
- 07
Flags 5 am starts and unsuitability for limited mobility on the temple circuit. Comfort disclosure is rare in pilgrimage packages and matters most to the people who book them.
- 08
One package deliberately shows no rate at all, with a written reason. Refusing to display an indicative number you would later revise is more persuasive than displaying one.
- 09
The only deep-navy theme in the set, at 1.1 density with a slab serif — a night departure board, unmistakable against Sappadu's warm near-black.

How it’s built
The specifics matter because they determine what the site costs to run, how fast it is, and whether you can move it later.
- Stack
- Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4
- Rendering
- Fully static export — every route is prerendered HTML, independently crawlable
- JavaScript
- No animation or UI library. Design tokens applied as scoped CSS custom properties
- Accessibility
- Semantic landmarks, labelled controls, visible focus, prefers-reduced-motion honoured
- Hosting
- Deploys to any static host including cPanel shared hosting — no Node runtime required
Suited to
- Tour operators and travel agencies
- Pilgrimage and temple circuit specialists
- Overseas package sellers who need to itemise visa, insurance and TCS
- Operators competing against headline rates that hide their basis
What it doesn’t include
Stated up front rather than discovered later.
- All rates, supplements, slabs and itineraries are sample data and must be replaced with your own. Published cancellation slabs become contractual, so have them checked.
- TCS and GST treatment are stated in general terms because rates change with each Finance Act. Confirm current rates with your accountant before publishing.
- No live availability or online booking. Tour inventory depends on hotel and airline blocks that a static site cannot represent honestly, so enquiries route to WhatsApp.
- No payment gateway. Travel advances are large and usually preceded by a conversation.
- Destination photography is the biggest visual upgrade available to this theme. Use your own or correctly licensed images — travel is a category where stock misuse gets noticed.
- Built on RootPro's theme engine: 5 routes, with this theme's own palette, typefaces, card anatomy and layout variants.
