Design decisions
Each of these came out of researching how this trade actually sells, not from a style preference.
- 01
Prescription-only medicines are structurally separated from OTC items: no cart path, a required-prescription flag, and a verification route to the pharmacist instead.
- 02
Built around the actual regulation — Schedule H supply against a valid prescription, with the pharmacist's registration and drug licence displayed as required.
- 03
Safety-critical usage notes are treated as first-class content: ORS mixed in exactly one litre, paracetamol daily maximum, strips being meter-specific.
- 04
Generic substitution is presented as a suggestion with the saving shown, never as a silent swap.
- 05
Shares the counter archetype with the sweet shop and could not look less like it: clinical teal, 8px radius, lattice rows.

How it’s built

What it doesn’t include
Stated up front rather than discovered later.
- Pharmacist registration and drug licence numbers are placeholders and must be verified before publishing. These are legal requirements, not decoration.
- No online payment for prescription items by design — supply follows verification.
- Drug information in the sample content is general. Real listings must follow the manufacturer's approved text.
