Design decisions

Each of these came out of researching how this trade actually sells, not from a style preference.

  • 01

Every purpose carries a unit cost — Rs 25 a head to feed, Rs 8,400 for a school year — so a donor sees what an amount buys instead of reading that it supports a mission.

  • 02

States the full 80G position before the donate button: registration required, PAN required, cash above Rs 2,000 not eligible, and Form 10BE issued after the trust's annual filing. Most donation pages mention none of this.

  • 03

Names FCRA registration as the condition for accepting foreign contributions, and commits to saying which applies rather than accepting a foreign donation and resolving it afterwards.

  • 04

Publishes an administration share per purpose and argues that a claim of zero administration cost is a failure to count. Disclosing your own overhead is a stronger signal than hiding it.

  • 05

Itemises the education purpose to the rupee — fees, books, uniform, bus pass — and explains why the child is selected by the school on need rather than chosen by the donor.

  • 06

States that medical funds are paid to the hospital against an invoice and never handed over in cash, which is the specific safeguard this category is most often criticised for lacking.

  • 07

Explicitly promises no spiritual, medical or material outcome in exchange for money, and says it would be wary of anyone who does. That restraint is the theme's central credibility move.

  • 08

Handles the part-funded case honestly in both directions: over-funding is carried and disclosed, under-funding stages the work rather than starting something that cannot be finished.

  • 09

Carries no fabricated registration numbers anywhere. Receipts are described as the place the number appears, and the disclosures warn against copying another trust's numbers.

  • 10

Dignified brick and gold at 1.15 density with a high-contrast serif — restrained rather than devotional, because a donor comparing two trusts is making a considered financial decision.

How it’s built

The specifics matter because they determine what the site costs to run, how fast it is, and whether you can move it later.

Stack
Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4
Rendering
Fully static export — every route is prerendered HTML, independently crawlable
JavaScript
No animation or UI library. Design tokens applied as scoped CSS custom properties
Accessibility
Semantic landmarks, labelled controls, visible focus, prefers-reduced-motion honoured
Hosting
Deploys to any static host including cPanel shared hosting — no Node runtime required

Suited to

  • Temples and religious trusts
  • Charitable trusts and NGOs raising individual donations
  • Education and medical aid funds
  • Any organisation whose donors ask where the money goes and do not get an answer

What it doesn’t include

Stated up front rather than discovered later.

  • Unit costs, administration percentages and figures are sample data and must be replaced with your own, worked from actual expenditure.
  • 80G and FCRA registration numbers are specific to an organisation. Never publish another trust's numbers, and never state 80G eligibility without holding valid registration.
  • Tax treatment described here is general. Rates, limits and filing requirements change with each Finance Act, and both the trust's compliance and a donor's claim should be confirmed with a professional.
  • No payment gateway. Donation collection needs a gateway configured against the trust's own account and, where foreign contributions are involved, the designated FCRA account. That is a deployment task, not a theme feature.
  • The audited accounts download is a placeholder. Publishing the actual statements is the single most valuable thing you can add to this theme.
  • No donor login or giving history. Worth adding once donation volume justifies it.
  • Built on RootPro's theme engine: 5 routes, with this theme's own palette, typefaces, card anatomy and layout variants.
